It has been tested and passed being dropped 6 feet onto a concrete floor, bearing 1 hour of wind and rain at 200mm/hr, maintaining 20-2000 Hz of vibration for 18 hours, and withstanding sand and dust at 18 meters per second for 3 hours.

Survivor is built on a shatter-resistant polycarbonate frame clad in rugged, shock absorbing silicone. A built-in screen protector seals your Multi-Touch display from the outside environment, while hinged plugs seal the dock connector, headphone port, hold switch and volume controls. Detachable heavy-duty clip secures your iPod touch to a belt or bag strap.
